Selfie verification 2022–24 Fake IDs sold online were beating the government-ID check we relied on, and about half the customers asked to use it never finished. I led design on the fix, a selfie checked for liveness and matched to the ID headshot, and more than 97% of the customers who start it after the ID scan finish it. -
A CRM for CarMax's dealers 2020–21 The associates who cover CarMax's B2B dealers tracked their accounts by hand, in spreadsheets and tools they had built themselves, and none of it was shared or current. I joined a new team charged with building a full-scale CRM on Salesforce, and field research with those associates set the data model first. -
Shifts at Snagajob 2019–20 Shifts is Snagajob's marketplace for hourly work, where an employer posts a shift and a nearby worker claims it. As the only designer on Shifts, I researched, designed, and shipped employer self-signup, talent pools, and a remote check to verify that a worker is legally allowed to work. -
Patient-specific surgical splints 2015–17 I sculpted splints and surgical guides for facial reconstruction in haptic computer-aided design (CAD) software and printed them on industrial stereolithography machines, each part shaped to a single patient's anatomy. With a coworker, I wrote a script that generated those parts from patient scan data, a proof of concept that moved the company to look seriously at automation.
