Experience

Capital One

2022 – present

Manager, Product Design 2026 – present

  • Lead design on the generative AI platform, with the AIML design team: a registry where Capital One teams put their AI agents under ownership and control. The first screens are going through team review and iteration.
  • Shipped a stakeholder review loop for AI-built prototypes: comments pinned on the live app become Claude-implemented pull requests.
  • Helped found the bank's internal multi-agent AI platform in 2025 and still build it, merging production code alongside its engineers. It reached 2,000+ colleagues across 27+ teams.
  • Spent early 2026 on the Identity design team: authentication, fraud, and verification across Capital One's customer products.

Principal Product Designer 2023 – 2026

  • Scaled selfie verification after launch: 125,000+ customers through the flow, more than 97% of those who start it finishing, and $90 million a year in regained instant spend.
  • Designed the flow across web, iOS, and Android, against each platform's facial-recognition front end.
  • Among the first designers at Capital One in Claude Code. Built the proof of concept for design-system generation and automation, now an official offering.
  • Wrote the AI readiness guide for Capital One's design organization. It became the org's direction.

Senior Product Designer 2022 – 2023

  • Led design on selfie verification from market research — 31 companies, 3 vendors benchmarked against the National Institute of Standards and Technology — through investment case, pilot, and the April 2023 production launch.
  • Ran pre-launch bias reviews of the face-matching step with a third-party consultant, compliance, and fair-banking teams.

CarMax

2020 – 2021

Product Designer

  • Designed a B2B CRM on Salesforce from zero. Field research shaped the enterprise data model before any screen existed, and the MVP was live in about six weeks.
  • Mapped how stores moved vehicles between locations, then tested changes in live pilots.

Snagajob

2019 – 2020

Lead Product / UX Designer, Shifts

  • Only designer on an hourly-work marketplace team. Shipped employer self-signup, talent pools, and a remote I-9 employment-eligibility check built to Department of Homeland Security guidelines.
  • Tested the self-signup flow with 10 small-business owners in retail, food service, and warehousing before engineering built it.
  • Rebuilt discovery: a charter-customer program meeting every two weeks, unmoderated studies, and phone research when COVID closed the rest.

3D Systems Healthcare

2015 – 2017

Biomedical Designer

  • Designed and printed patient-specific, FDA-regulated surgical splints and guides in daily clinical production. Co-built a proof-of-concept Python pipeline generating printable splints from CT scans. Left in 2017 for a master's in human-computer interaction.
