I build these on my own time, to learn.
Projects
- The design system 2026 The tokens, type scale, spacing, and components this site runs on are documented on the page they draw.
- Adventure Planner 2026 Adventure Planner is a personal hiking planner that verifies trail conditions live and shows its sources. I built the graph, the engine, the evals, and the app end-to-end with a fleet of Claude agents.
- Jump Height 2026 A $20 sensor puck, built from off-the-shelf parts, measures wing-foil jump height and streams it to a Garmin watch. I ran the physics simulations, wrote the firmware and the watch app, and published all of it as open source.
- The Greenhouse Gazette 2026 I wired sensors, a camera, and a Raspberry Pi into my family's greenhouse on the Outer Banks. Every morning at 7:00, an AI narrator called the Canal Captain emails the family a report, a timelapse, and a riddle.
- RVA Miles 2026 RVA Miles is a work-mileage tracker for someone who drives for a living and files for reimbursement every pay period. A repeat trip is one tap, payday is three, and nothing that touches money is ever recomputed.
- Yesterday° 2026 Yesterday° is a weather site that opens on the temperature that already happened and files the forecast under Foresight. I colored the site by time, amber for what was observed and blue for what is only expected.
